Hi Guys! We're going to try something a little bit different this year for our Men's Retreat. We're going to have a "Stay at Home Conference" (you really can't call it a retreat if you don't retreat to somewhere). We'll start with dinner at 6 pm on Friday, September 2nd and finish with our evening program by 9 pm on Saturday, September 4th. We'll include all the activites we usually do on our retreat - a great speaker, times of fellowship, free time activities and great food - but we'll do them all here at the Hoffmeister Center. You'll get to do all the things you usually do except you'll sleep at home (if you really feel the need we'll let you pitch a tent here in the HC).Kinsmen Stay-At-Home Conference
Our speaker for the conference will be Graham Baird, founding and senior pastor at Highland Presbyterian Church, the fastest growing Presbyterian new church development project in California. Graham graduated from Princeton Seminary in 2000 with an M.Div. and has since been a sought after speaker and teacher around the country. He won the National Oratory Championship in 1990. Graham is currently studying for his Doctor of Ministries at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. Graham's favorite phrase is, "no perfect people allowed" in church. Graham, his wife Star, and baby Haley like to drive to the ocean on days off. Graham also plays the bagpipes and fly fishes.
The cost for all of this, meals included, is $25.00 (that's right)! Your wife can't even feed you for that much on the weekend. We've kept the cost down so everyone can afford it and we've kept it close so everyone can come. You have no excuse! We'll keep you updated as we draw near to the date so keep checking in or better yet, register - either online (see below), Sunday morning at the Kiosk or during the week at the office.
