Discipleship and the Self

Pastor Brent Swanson preaches the second sermon in our "The Way of Jesus" sermon series entitled Discipleship and the Self.

During his ministry, one of the main things Jesus did was call people to follow him. He asked people not only to believe in him, but to become his disciples, apprentices, and students. Often Jesus framed this way of discipleship in light of the cross. In this series we will ask what it might mean for us to take up Jesus' call to become his disciples. How might this change our lives? What joy awaits us as we follow him on the way to the cross?
